suspicious

They first can hardly speak English ( Indian call centre) then differ from one another when telling you that your 1 yr subscription is really for 1 mth and that you have to repay them $200 to reinstall Norton and get support from them. They also said that there is a cancellation fee of $99 and to continue with a 1 Yr subscription will cost you $149.99. I let him remotely look at my computer to see what the problem was and said that my Windows was corrupt and that it would cost $200 to get a Microsoft system update. to this I refused and continued questioning him. He said that buying the Norton Premium Security from a retailer was separate from an online purchase and that I was misinformed by the retailer and needed to resubscribe again. I couldn't believe this and suspected after seeing his actions on my computer ( he used netstat on the cmd line to find my NAT address and my browser to find my IP address and tried to fool me by saying that they were different because my System was corrupt). I continued to berate him with disbelief. Then he hung up on me. After this, I phoned back and a different person answered and said that his colleague went on a coffee break. Probably because I gave him a hard time. This guy then said that the price for 1 yr was a wopping $249.99. I politely said that I had to check if my account had funds in it and hung up. I didn't give them my account details but did give them my name and date of birth. This has caused me anxiety ever since. The Norton Safe Toolbar said that the site was unsafe but I phoned them up anyway, I feel like a fool because of this. It's because after installing another 8GB RAM on my system a notice that there was only 1 day left till my Norton subscription expired, I panicked since I'd already paid for a 1 year subscription for three devices. They were trying to hard sell me their tech support and lied to me. please can you flag this site as a phishing site and possibly a fraudulent one as well. I checked my subscription status and it confirmed that I had 320 days left till automatic renewal so there was nothing to worry about. Maybe it notified me of expiry by mistake after the RAM install.
Thank you.
