Norton continually seeks to improve your user experience of Norton Safe Web, while delivering the site ratings that help you stay safe while searching, surfing and shopping online.
Currently, when an ecommerce site is included in your search results, a shopping cart icon appears next to the overall site rating. The site rating is either a green check mark indicating a safe site, red "X" indicating a risky site, yellow "!" indicating potential risk or gray "?" indicating an untested site. A shopping cart next to a green check mark indicates that the site is an ecommerce site and that no threats have been found, while a shopping cart next to a yellow "!" indicates the site has been rated as a potentially risky online vendor.
Within the next few months, we will begin visually streamlining ratings by removing the shopping cart that appears next to the green check mark for all ecommerce sites rated safe. Rest assured that Norton Safe Web will continue to analyze ecommerce sites for shopping safety, and you can view full details of a site's safety rating by clicking through on the site rating icon. If an ecommerce site is rated potentially risky, you will continue to see a shopping cart appear next to a yellow "!" site rating.
Stay tuned for additional updates as we look for ways to improve your user experience while keeping you safe online.
