Unauthorized Charges to Credit Card by PC Tools
I purchased a copy of PC Tools Spyware Doctor online through this site last year when I wanted and needed a good spyware/anti-virus protector for my laptop. After a few months, my laptop died and I bought a new one, but didn't reinstall the PC Tools software as I had Norton 360 already installed.
Here it is a year later and I received an email from PC Tools stating that my license for the latest PC Tools software had been renewed and that my credit card had been charged for it. I logged on to my PC Tools account to verify this. Exploring my account with PC Tools I could not find how to discontinue or cancel my account with PC Tools, or how to even remove my credit card information. I sent an email through the website to Customer Service demanding that they refund me my money and cancel my account. It took several days to receive a reply from their customer service dept stating that I would be refunded the amount.
HOWEVER, I had, in the meantime, looked at their Forum on PC Tools and noticed that at least one other person has had this very same issue with PC Tools making an unauthorized charge to their credit card as a renewal of their product, who also could not find how to cancel his account or access his credit card information. He, too, requested a refund which he did not get, AND the following year the EXACT SAME CHARGE OCCURRED!
At the time of writing this review, I am waiting for my refund after making one request. I will make an update as soon as my money is returned and my account at PC Tools.com is canceled, or if I'm given the run-around.

I agree, pctools are scam, they make it hard to contact them and repeat billing is annoying
