Amazon.com is perfectly safe, the only ads are ads for products on the site itself (come on it's a shopping site, what did you expect). Any bad shopping experiences are not the fault of the site, only the seller that uses Amazon to sell their stuff. If you want good shopping experiences, make sure you only buy from Amazon themself or product that is fulfilled by Amazon.
