Unlike other "generic" computer infections, malware creators develop hundreds of rogue antivirus software [ex: fake scanner page] in order to hijack crucial information from innocent computer users. Displace bogus ads to inform users that their computer is infected with hundreds of malicious attacks. Unaware computer users will click on those ads which install malicious attacks for users. After all, you can count Norton IS 2009 to clean your infected system.

The key to stay safe is always use common sense when surfing the internet. Also, update the latest definitions for your antivirus software. If your computer has rogue antivirus, I advise you to go directly to symantec.com and download the latest Symantec's Conficker Removal Tool. Also, download Malwarebytes and A-Squared Free version in order to scan and quarantine the infections. Please beware about using USB flash drive on an infected computer.
Also, beware of using search engines such as google.com, yahoo.com, ask.com, etc...
