PBS, home of the Nova program

While PBS doesn't have the clout, funding and reach of the venerable BBC, within the American context, that is the only choice one has for intelligent programs on public air waves. Discover, History and other channels are on cable or satellite. The PBS reaches nearly every home in the US.

I am a great fan of their Nova programs and of course I was glued to the TV watching Carl Sagan's Cosmos program when it aired on the PBS. One of the neatest site on pbs.org is their material on Cryptography. Check it out at: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/decoding/
