download.kodak.com : freezes up the computer

I previously installed the Kodak Easy Share software from download.kodak.com , then later uninstalled it because it kept freezing up my computer (several times) whenever I was attempting to add pictures to the program from my computer. I have decided to try installing it again to "give it another chance," so we'll see what happens.

unity3d.com : safe and secure

The Unity 3D web player can be downloaded directly from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) web site, as it is required in order to run NASA's "Solar System Eyes" application in your browser. The fact that an agency such as NASA uses it tells me that it has to have been well tested and used.

kindleforpc.amazon.com : safe and stable

I believe anything downloaded from a very reputable site, which Amazon certainly is, would be safe. I have had no problems at all with the Kindle for PC and it is quite stable.

jeffsteinberg.com : seems to be OK

I spent a fair amount of time on this web site navigating various links and downloading (and playing) some 30-second mp3 song clips and had no problems at all. Some of the information on the site seems to have not been updated (such as the schedule of appearances), but otherwise it is apparently safe.

purlet.in : downloaded a virus

I inadvertently downloaded a virus from this web site, the "iobin700release[1].exe (Trojan.Gen.2)" virus. Fortunately Norton Internet Security detected it and safely removed it. I do not remember what web site I was visiting when this occurred, but it was not purlet.in, however this is where Norton Internet Security said it came from.

piriform.com : good software and safe

Piriform has a few programs for free download, but the only one I have used is CCleaner. I have used it for a long time now and at least that one is very safe.

coupons.com : seems to be safe

I have downloaded and used this program for quite a while now and have not had any problems with my computer that would be caused by it (that I'm aware of). (I AM having computer problems of a different kind but I don't think it's because of this program.) The program apparently is necessary in order to print the coupons.

software-dl.real.com : always been safe in the past

I have never had any problems to date with any of the file downloads that are directly from the Real Networks (RN) (real.com) web site. The Real Player from RN has always worked very poorly on my computer, but I believe that to be an issue with my computer and all of its many problems, but the files themselves from RN are safe and secure.

nasa.gov : trusted

Anything on the nasa.gov web site can most definitely be trusted to be safe and secure, and safe for download, and I agree with other reviewers, very interesting stuff and presented for the most part in layman's terms.

adobe.com : safe, secure, and reliable

Adobe has many excellent and useful products (nescessary, in fact, for some applications and files) all available for download and many (though not all) are free. As long as they are downloaded directly from Adobe's web site, they are very safe, secure, and reliable.
