This behavior seems to be typical of an attempt to download malware/spyware to your computer. Has lots of ads for fake antivirus software on the site as well. These ads are NOT blocked by any of the scripts or ad block extensions in Firefox or IE (all versions for both). Not what I would consider a safe site.
