Youtube is owned and operated by Google now. Users can only upload video/text and we all know Google is one of the good guys (at least for now ;-). I am confident the only thing you need to worry about when visiting this site is wasting a lot of time.

anti-virus-downloader.com : Norton wannabe

Looks the same as www-download-antivirus.com. Again it is advertising itself as "Free Norton Anitivirus #1 Antivirus Worldwide Fast & Secure Download. Get It Now!"

THIS IS NOT A SYMANTEC SITE AND IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU FREE NORTON SOFTWARE (or any symantec software).

Besides the extremely misleading advertising and the symantec color scheme this site offers, it seems legit enough (though my Norton firewall detected it was trying to put something with a low threat level on my computer).

craigslist.com : Watch out

The site is safe, but you can get yourself into some trouble... It is a scammer's paradise, mainly because they can contact you directly and fraudulent postings can stay up for a while. It warns you in several places to deal locally and in cash only, but since several of my friends have fallen for scams I feel it is worth warning you again.

A common scam (and one a friend of mine fell for last week) is a scammer arranging to send you a check/money order for more than what you are asking to "pay for shipping" and asks you to wire him whatever is left over. Long story short this ends with you losing lots of money (often times it takes several days for banks to realize a money order is fake).

Basically, if you can't see the cash (or what you are buying) in person, do not make the deal.
