It is a scammer's paradise, mainly because they can contact you directly and fraudulent postings can stay up for a while. It warns you in several places to deal locally and in cash only, but since several of my friends have fallen for scams I feel it is worth warning you again. A common scam (and one a friend of mine fell for last week) is a scammer arranging to send you a check/money order for more than what you are asking to "pay for shipping" and asks you to wire him whatever is left over. Long story short this ends with you losing lots of money (often times it takes several days for banks to realize a money order is fake).
